A huge congratulations to Izzy from Friday Beavers who has been awarded The King’s Scout Award. It’s even more special as Izzy started her scouting journey as a Friday Beaver!
Isabella Large – South Ribble
Isabella presented her award to her group, where she explained briefly about the requirements of the award before going on to share her experiences in Sri Lanka working with conservationists to protect turtle eggs, she even had the opportunity to “plant” the turtle eggs before they hatched so that the hatchlings could make their own way to the sea. Isabella also visited Ghana, working in a local school, and on her return, raised money for a new toilet block, desks and chairs to continue to support the school. Congratulations Isabella!
Last Monday Oliver and Sarah were presented with different awards for our service to Scouting. Oliver received his Wood Badge for being a Section Leader in both Squirrels and Beavers. Sarah received my 15-Year Award and The Award for Merit
