Meteor Scouts held an Oscars night to finish off the Communicators Badge – they had made videos with Preston Video Society, audio jingles with Preston FM – video of the scouts at Granada Studios with the “weather lady” where they read the weather in the studio complete with weather map, and having had a visit from the Barbarel Circus School in Eldon Street they had a circus skills night when we took a video. All these were shown on our Oscars Evening followed by the presentation to our four winners and runners up, we had some refreshments and then put on a circus skills demonstration for the assembled parents – a great night and two badges – communicators and circus skills badges.
