All at 5th Penwortham would like to wish Francesca, Jodi and Lauryn a very happy Christmas and New Year and a safe journey home. The 3 young leaders are amongst 10 Explorer Scouts from West Lancashire that are visiiting Nepal, they touched down in Kathmandu last weekend and have three weeks of adventure which includes volunteering at an orphanage over Christmas followed by a 10 dayTrek in the shadows of Mount Everest. In addition to assisting with general maintenance at the orphanage they will also be building a library and have taken a number of books to help start it off. In addition they raised the money for the trip by a year of fund raising. Well done and enjoy yourselves.
